summer time 2020

 

No rhyme or reason, just had an odd assortment of photos from this summer from good times had with good people. Items worth mentioning from this summer (in no particular order and not necessarily pictured):

-getting unreasonably sunburnt at shan's cabin, bonding with dear, college friends

-a lot of ice cream outings - 2 visits to my fav ice cream shop, countless others to my 2nd fav.

-getting to be with children again (both new ones to love and ones I've loved for awhile)

-having a perfect and private betrothal ceremony just weeks before our wedding 

-entering into the sacrament of matrimony and sweet reception of those graces

-honeymooning up north, having an incredible salmon dinner, turning 26  

-attending 4 weddings, photographing 2 of them, loving all of them  

-moving my sister to a new city, moving myself to my husband's

-realizing NFP can be a little less awful than originally believed, but its still crap when your cycle isn't normal

-starting a book, liking it, and finishing it too

-decorating *our* home, merging 2 lives into 1 in countless ways

-camping in the backyard, eating dinner in the back yard, hosting our wedding reception in the back yard

-realizing I really, really love candles and using them often 

-attending Mass in churches again, getting to sing on occasion, assumption day mass at All Saints  

-visiting Grandma in our wedding attire because she couldn't attend our wedding 

-growing closer with newer friends, finding gals who struggle as I do (INVALUABLE)

-experiencing the true sweetness of married life and all those precious moments I never would have imagined

-having less dinner parties/events in general, but enjoying the few we did have 

-finding new ways to take care of people, care packages, delivering groceries to quarantined friends

-loving the virtues of justice, prudence, chastity, patience.... at least, striving to possess them 

-undergoing more challenges & heartbreaks, but maybe even learning that it's ok: God is with us always
