oh, to be in the woods again
while i love my own far-away treks, with mountains,
great lakes, cup after cup of chai teas, time alone to think,
grow and create,
there is something oh-so-precious about close-to-home-adventures
with my family. even with the infinite amounts of crazy that goes on,
that one kid who gets tired after three steps, and then
those two teenaged girls who didn't dress appropriately for the weather
(cough cough definitely not abbey & i)...
despite all that, and all the other complications,
it's the best time.
