I tend to be a little scattered when freelance studying (ok... studying in general...um.... I mean... life in general. ) and work on several books at once. The later three books are relatively simple to read and comprehend, so I gravitate towards those on days where brain function is low & then tackle Sheen & Hahn on my brainiac days. Is this the most efficient? Probably not. Do I care? Not particularly. *wink*

With the prospect of college in the coming year, I realize now is the perfect--and possibly only--opportunity I'll have to freelance study for quite a while. I'm rather enjoying this time. #readALLthebooks

What are you reading? Are you a scatter-brained reader or a one-at-a-time type of human? In what ways are you cherishing the opportunities that  lay before you and may not exist later down the road?

  1. I would definitely say reading is one of the things I miss most about college - you're so busy reading for classes that you often don't have as much time to read for fun. So, good for you soaking it in now! I always try to get my fix during breaks...I'm especially looking forward to cozying up with books during Christmas break.

And I'm a one-at-a-time reader. If I like something, I have to keep reading until I finish...which usually results in me staying up past midnight. And it's always worth it. :)

    1. That is exactly what I expecting. Of course, college is bound to have countless other top-notch opportunities, I've just grown rather fond of reading and am going to miss it. Hooray for breaks though!!

Can't tell you how many times I've stayed up until the wee hours of the night (morning?) with my nose stuck in a book. Love that. :)

  2. One book at a time is how I roll. ;) I am rather impressed that you can start multiple books at a time, though.

    1. Hehe. I love when you comment...;) I don't really understand how you can stand only reading one at a time....but I guess it works out alright. Can you imagine if we were both multiple-book readers?! Our room would be such a mess!

  3. Oh yeah I'm feeling the same pressure to read like crazy this year, because I know I will not be reading this time next year. I have been wanting to read First Comes Love for a while now, it looks really good. Yep I'm a multiple-currently-reading-book kinda girl.

    1. First Comes Love is excellent! Right now Hahn is going into detail the story of Adam and Eve, and where our desire for love/family comes from. My mind is exploding.

We have so much in common. I can't wait to meet you. 😊

  4. I love your bookcase. :) Just so classy. <3 Those all sound like awesome books, but unfortunately I've never read a single one! yikes... I have work to do. O_o
Ok, so I am just such a scatter-brained reader. :P I'm always like in the middle of five books at once! Currently I'm finishing up Bleakhouse by Dickens, which is excellent. And I'm still about halfway through Les Mis, which I started in the summer but have had basically no time to read since... And then I've been reading some religious books, like I finished My Sisters The Saints a few weeks ago. :) I always just start randomly re-reading my bookshelf favorites too, so there really is quite a stack by my bed. ;)

But yeah, I feel the same way, I've gotta read tons of books before before I go off to college!! You should see my list for Christmas break reading, haha. ;)
