little bits of flora

"I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful. That the brilliance of the rose
and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity
of the daisy. I understood that if all the lovely flowers wished to be roses, nature would no
longer be enameled with lovely hues. And so it is in the world of souls, our Lord's living garden."
-St. Therese of Lisieux

So incredibly happy to have blooms finally! Happy Wednesday, everyone! <3

  3. That is one of my favorite St. Therese quotes! I wrote it down when I came upon it in "Story of a Soul," and it's just so lovely to see it paired with these amazing pictures. ♥♥♥

    1. Ah yes, two of the best things. The only possible way to make this better is a slice of chocolate cake. ;)

Thanks for your sweet words <3

  6. Ahh, how lovely. The flowers have come! And so has St. Therese.

I found your blog today from Samantha's, and it is utterly delightful. Funny question: did you come visit Leah Miren in Colorado? I think I might have met you for coffee then...so sorry if that sounds totally random, but I thought I'd ask. :)

    1. It is you! I have often wondered if you were..well, you, but it never occurred to me to simply ask. But yes, yes, that was most certainly me.

I have such fond memories of sitting across the table from you with a cup of spicy chai, nibbling on little bits of dark chocolate, talking about bugs in bathrooms and obscure saints. Ah yes, such lovely times!

Glad to re-meet you, dear friend! <3

    2. Whoop, sooo glad that was a right guess. (Second-doubts after commenting? Oh yes.)

It was lovely meeting you when you came out here. :) One cannot do much better than making new acquaintances through old friends---especially when tea is involved.

      And cilantro.
